WHY THE C GROUP?
It was initially proposed that the name should be "The Commando Group" but soon became apparent that the "C" represented a far wider range of meanings; those immediately springing to mind being Courage, Character, Community, Casualty, Commerce, Care; the interpretations were endless.
For the sake of simplicity it was agreed that the name should remain as "The C Group", with a view to establishing this amongst the Royal Marines and the business community as a brand which delivers support, be it financial, material or welfare, to serving and former Royal Marines when and where it can be of most benefit.
