January 2011 - Another donation from Bands of Strength
We would like to offer our grateful thanks once again to Katie Owens for a donation of £91 received from the sale of "Bands of Strength" wristbands. This was receive in addition to £164 already donated last year and we would like to thank Katie for her continuing support and hard work.
Katie says:" 'Bands of Strength' is an expanding business selling merchandise to those related to and supporting the Royal Marines, in particular Marine mums, wives and girlfriends. £1 of every product sold at www.bandsofstrength.co.uk is donated to The C Group.

March 2010 - End of Term Band Concert - CTCRM
The End of Term Band Concert by The Band of Her Majesty's Royal Marines, Commando Training Centre Royal Marines, was held in the Falklands Hall, CTCRM on 23 March 2010. A spectacular musical programme showed off the Band's talents to maximum effect and was enthusiastically received by a capacity audience. The closing collection was generously donated to The C Group and raised an impressive £547.68, for which we are very grateful.
January 2010 - The C Group Annual Regimental Dinner
Held in the Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess, Commando Training Centre Royal Marines on 21 January 2010, the evening was a resounding success, being thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended. We would like to thank all those members and their guests who donated generously on the evening to help cover essential administration and staff costs. Our aim is to secure specific pledges and donations to cover these vital costs, to ensure that all other monies raised, through both fund-raising activities and donations, are used in their entirety for the benefit of Royal Marines.
January 2010 - Donation received from South Devon Steam Railway
Our thanks go to all at South Devon Steam Railway who raised over £600 for The C Group at a recent Dinner, attended by a guest speaker for the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines. We are very grateful to all concerned for their generous support.
December 2009 - Appeal for support from Hasler Company
Our grateful thanks go to everyone who contacted us following our recent appeal on behalf of a Hasler Company member who is looking for advice and support on a career in the Outdoor Industry
The process is going to take some time, but all information has been passed on and will be responded to in the New Year.
We are also very grateful for the very swift and positive offer of help received on behalf of the Hasler Company member who appealed for information regarding a career move to the Off-Shore Oil industry.
The response from C Group members was tremendous and proves that there is an enormous capacity for support amongst the business community networks for which both we and Hasler Company are sincerely grateful.

EVENTS
On 6th December, The C Group held a wine tasting event hosted by Topsham Wines and sponsored by South West Communications at Abode, Exeter.
Staff and Managers from Barclays Bank took on the assault course to raise funds for The C-Group
Enthusiastic runners did their bit for The C-Group - completing this years 10k Commando Challenge held at Woodbury, Devon
