Commando Challenge 2010
Runners from around the world rise to The Commando Challenge and raise funds for The C Group
October 14th 2010
Over two days of glorious autumn sunshine, thousands of runners in teams from around the UK and across the world, many in fancy dress, raced up the hills and through the mud and tunnels of the famous Royal Marines Endurance Course on Woodbury Common, near Exeter, raising a record amount for The C Group and Devon Air Ambulance Trust, the events two beneficiaries.
A full report and photos can be found at www.commandochallenge.co.uk and final details of the sum raised for The C Group will follow shortly.
We would like to offer our very grateful thanks to all C Group members and supporters who arrived at the crack of dawn, armed with enthusiasm and sandwiches, to help steward the event and cheer on the runners. New talents were discovered as enthusiastic car park attendants, warm-up coaches and an unstoppable team filled over 5,000 goody bags in record time!
Commando Challenge will be benefiting The C Group for at least the next five years and we are deeply grateful to the organisers for their dedication and support.
